Here are a couple of reminders before you head out in the morning:

  • Please Park outside of the Sarasota Sailing Squadron (near Mote Marine parking area overflow on the grass). Masks are required at all times for this event.
  • Please try and arrive no later than 8:15 am to find parking and meet at Sarasota Sailing Squadron tiki pavilion located behind the main building (1717 Ken Thompson Pkwy). We will have you check in to make sure you have submitted your waivers and do a quick temperature check.
  • We will be weighing, counting, sorting and loading the clams onto boats in order to release them into Sarasota Bay; returning around 11am (the Sailing Squadron has an event later that day, so we have to make sure we are done by then!).

What to bring: You should have signed up in advance, so we will have your waivers. Students MUST wear appropriate foot-wear, no flip flops, no sandals.  Closed toed shoes only.  Wear old clothes that can get dirty and wet.  Be prepared to lift heavy buckets in order to release the clams into Sarasota Bay. We will return to Sarasota Sailing Squadron by 11:00am.
