Whitaker Bayou Clean-Up

The Whitaker Bayou has accumulated a lot of trash and debris from all kinds of human activity. Join us for our second clean-up this year funded by The Sarasota Bay Estuary Program Bay Partner Grant program.

We are seeking jon boats, kayakers and people to walk the shorelines. 10 Kayaks will be provided on a first come first serve basis, 4 Kayaks are doubles.

You will need to have heavy shoes/boots- NO OPEN-TOED SHOES allowed.  Clothes that protect legs and arms is recommended.  Bring a water bottle and sunscreen. We will provide gloves and bags.
