Myakka River Post-Hurricane Cleanup

Safety Meeting 8:15 AM. Cleanup Begins 8:30
Return at noon for lunch.

Hurricane lan blew a tremendous amount of debris into the Myakka River. Join us in removing debris and restoring this Wild & Scenic River!

• 14 kayaks will be provided – sign up early to reserve a seat
• Bring your own kayak or shallow water boat
• Work gloves, trash bags, maps and equipment will be provided
• Non-boaters will be needed to retrieve trash or clean areas from land
• Wear shoes that you are Ok with getting muddy and wet
• Limited parking – carpool if you can

Clothes that protect legs and arms is recommended. Bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
